About Me
Hi, I'm Lewis Wang. I usually go by lewisw online. I'm from China, and Lewis is the English name I use online and in international contexts.
I'm not a professional developer. My interest in technology grew through setting up and maintaining services for my own use. Along the way, I've learned about domains, email, Linux, virtual private servers, networking and self-hosting by working through practical problems as they came up.
I'm particularly interested in personal domains and email: how a domain represents an online identity, how email services differ in practice, and how DNS and mail authentication work together. I also enjoy learning more about the infrastructure behind the services I use every day.
This website is my personal home on the web. For now, it serves as a simple introduction and a central place for my links. Over time, I plan to publish occasional notes about things I've tried, problems I've solved and decisions I've made. Some posts may be in English and others in Chinese.
I don't intend to publish on a fixed schedule. I'd rather write when I have an experience or idea worth preserving than post simply for the sake of keeping the site active.
You can find me on GitHub or contact me at hello@lewisw.net.
